If you were the top college recruit for the 4 major sports, what school would you go to and why?
My picks:

Football: USC: Best exposure, and get to live in Southern California
Basketball: UCLA: Great tradition, and I hate Duke/UNC
Baseball: Rice: Awesome program, awesome school.
Hockey: Maine: Hockey and lobster, together at last...

[/ QUOTE ]

Football: depends greatly on what position I play and who certain schools already have at my position but choosing from:

USC, Texas, Oklahoma, LSU, Georgia, South Carolina (if I am a QB), Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, Florida, Florida St., Miami, Michigan, Ohio St., Penn. St., & Notre Dame.

Basketballuke seems good enough, after all I am only going to class for one semester.

Baseball: I go pro

Hockey: where I am from this is no more a major college sport than those nappy headed hoes

Keep in mind, you're the top recruit in the entire country, so let's assume you're going to start no matter where you go/what position you play.

That isn't an accurate assumption though. Say you're a QB, do you think you are likely to go to Texas and start over Colt McCoy as a true freshman or Florida and Tebow. Do you think Ryan Mallet, #2 pro style QB in country according to rivals.com, is going to start next year at Michigan over Chad Henne? Say you're a running back, you think you're coming in as a true freshman and starting instead of McPhadden at Arkansas.

Basketball: Zona

Prob pretty easy academics, smoking hot girls, and despite terrible results in the tournament, they churn out overachieving NBA players.

[/ QUOTE ]

What makes their girls hotter than any other university's?

[/ QUOTE ]

They're from Arizona.

Football: Texas or USC, mainly because I'd have my pick of the hottest women on the planet.

Basketball: Probably UCLA or Duke

Baseball: go pro

I have no idea why any top pitcher would go to Rice given their track record of abusing pitching prospects.

[/ QUOTE ]

Big draft signing bonuses?

I am well aware of this...I'm interested in where people would go based on the school, not on whether or not they would start right away. And since it's my post, I get to choose the rules .

So let me rephrase: If you were the greatest player in the world coming out of high school (and therefore would automatically start), and you had to go to college, which college would you choose for each major sport?

Because the girls are so hot? Because Duke players tend to overachieve in the NBA? Because K so often encourages his underclassmen to declare early when it's in their best interest?

Meh, I went there, so I'm trying to be loyal.

Edit: You're right about the lack of hot chicks but wrong about the other 2. Duke players have done very well in the NBA when they didn't suffer catastrophic injuries, and K always encourages his players to leave when he thinks it's the right thing to do.

But I'd go to UCLA and bang hot chicks.
