[ QUOTE ]
this hand is pretty terrible. I'd bet the flop and probably get in all in on the flop pretty comfortably. [/ QUOTE ] QQ has 30.5% equity on this flop against villain's repop range as estimated in the OP... |

A 25/20 player mostly is 3betting wider than AQ+, JJ+ for sure. Also his flop check is very, very often a marginal hand looking to check-call such as TT, Jx etc. And check-raises in this spot are very often bs from my experiences.

[ QUOTE ] fold preflop, when you think his range is wide? makes no sense... first of all im betting the flop here most of the times, if i dont, then im definately raising his turn donk. you played this too passively imo. [/ QUOTE ] The main reason I had a hard time with this hand is on the flop play. Assume that villain is competent and holds AKo, they're always going to cbet at this and makes hands like QQ think that they hold AA/KK, right? So why should I even call if I'm just playing for set value? In this particular instance the villain sucked and I should have been betting, but I was thinking too much about "what am I going to do if he has AK?", as well as villain's potential holding of AA/KK. [/ QUOTE ] this pf raising range is absurdly narrow, if this is actually the case then you probably played the flop okay. |
