any work experience is really good, even if it is just a teller. be sure to mention customer interaction as a bullet point. companies want quantifiable results from your work and leadership/people skills. think of anything in your job that applies.

[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] I hear it looks good if you know how to use Google. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be the case for you. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, of course I can use google, which I did OBV, but what does that do for me? It's good to hear real people's experiences and pros/cons, especially on a forum you visit frequently and they probably have the same interests. I shouldn't even be typing this response because your comments are unneeded and show stupidity at its finest. But yeah, I *guess* I could just use google and read a bunch of peoples resumes, but why not get it condensed from a big population into one place? [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, google resumes will make him look like everyone else. He needs to differentiate himself to get hired. He came here for help so we should help him. With that said, what companies are you applying at. It seems like there are a good amount of people on here that work in accounting or investment banking. What are you applying for. Also, it may be a good idea to customize your resume for each company. Look at the qualifications that each company requires in the job listing and adjust your resume and cover to showcase your skills that meet these qualifications. In your cover letter, it is good to tell a story about a project/job/etc that showcases your best qualities rather than list that you are dedicated, hard-working, blah blah blah. |

if your accounting finance, what i would do is make sure you include relevant coursework. in the past i've put things such as financial, int, adv accounting, finance, different types of econ, etc.
also if you need to take up space put an objective, such as "to work at a big 4 tax department" or whatever. def put the teller stuff, if all else it shows you can deal with money + clients in a service industry, pretty important. |
