You called a pot raise out of position with KK34 against a very short stack? Looks like sweet justice to me. Still looking for the irony.

I am quitting PL forever. I really suck at the game because I tilt like 3 minutes in.
Some hands: LOL. That can't be case ase. I got pwned here. Set and OESD! ARR IN! I don't like you Hakallah... so I'm gonna give my money to you! Silly Dave! I have the nuts + strong redraws. What a pretty board! Yay! Nuts with strong low draw. What can go wrong? At least I finally got out of it. 6-tabling tilt hurts. At least I looked pretty with decent stacks. Picture of tables (warning... 2600 * 1600)

Serious question ... how do you ever have the "best of it" in video poker? I know there is some material out saying that you can win playing VP, but I don't understand how it's any different than a slot machine. Thanks in advance for responding. [/ QUOTE ] Video Poker machines that are true video poker use a random number generator to determine the order of the deck. Thus, you know the odds of hitting each hand, since they correspond to the real-life odds. When the total payouts exceed the odds against making a paying hand (and this is usually a function of the progressive jackpot growing very large), the machine is profitable if you play perfect strategy. So, in practice, you're playing to hit the progressive, and all of the play in between is waiting to hit a royal. Also, some "video poker" machines are disguised slot machines, with payouts governed in the same way as slots. These are obviously unbeatable through legal means. |

Nice results! I have a 123% overall ROI in the dozen tournaments I've played, but it looks like you must have played at least 40.

Thanks, bbart.
There's easily over 150 tourneys I've played since winter in all different types of games. For a while there I was making at least 3 final tables a week. Playing 1 to two tourneys a night 3-4 days a week. I didn't list any of my cashes for Holdem, 7stud, or Omaha Hi. I don't know, I guess I just figured the people of this forum would be more interested in the games with a low side. Strangely enough I don't think I've played one Stud8 tourney.... Weird. I'll have to get on that. |

LOL tilt and variance.
If you were fortunate to be at one of my 4 tables that I was HU at raising any hand even 2222... you're welcome for the money. If you were unfortunate enough to be at my one table where I concentrated... Thanks for the money back.
