It seems like a month can't go by without this crap popping up about Full Tilt
However, FTP Doug has usually responded, so hopefully he will clear this one up as well. I will say one thing though, they REALLY need a third party arbitrator. I can understand the security issue of not divulging information to give scammers an idea of how they were discovered, but simply shutting down an account and telling someone they aren't welcome without a clear explanation is a bit bizarre. |

no one takes me seriously but i thinks absurd that we not only roll over for sites but encourage them. [censored] a, look how many ppl this has happened to. strassa, good2cu, teddyfbis mom, etc. this is, imo, the biggest threat to my bankroll. far more dangerous than the gov and even hackers. cue the pole.

Luckily, I had just blew my wad in the 200-400 NL for $120,000 so I had nothing left to them to steal...So I guess I was one of the lucky ones.
Better that Phil Ivey get it straight up then FTP management! |

Yeah, right.
FTP Doug will answer in a couple of days and state: "We have proof they were [insert claim here]." Then everyone will go, "See I knew he was a cheater, FTP says they have proof." Rinse, and repeat. |

[ QUOTE ]
Have you done any transfers on FTP with someone that might be shady? [/ QUOTE ] I have made 1 tranfer at ftp ever: Its not uncommon that railbirds ask for money in chat when I play 200 or 500$ hu's.. I always ignore them. One night 2 months ago maybe one railbird starting telling me how bad I was etc, this happened during several sng's.. He didnt ask for money said stuff like "god, youre awful" and variations of that when I lost a pot. So after this had happened on several sng's back to back I asked him if he wanted 10$ b/c he must be very bored and he said "how about 20?" lol.. So I shipped him 20$ just for fun.. He tracked me down a couple of days later at my table and we spoke a little. He told me that now had 83$ or something. I havent spoken to him since and dont remember his sn I doubt a 20$ tranfer will cause ftp to close an acount which I have deposited and played for large amounts on...? |

They wouldn't lock you out, unless the crook SENT you the money, not the other way around.

It's also possible that you logged in on a DYNAMIC IP address that was recycled and used by a crook in the past. Possibly someone in your general vicinity.
Or if you logged in on a WiFi, like Starbucks, and a crook used the same IP address. That would get you locked out. They need a different lock out criteria |
