Bet turn!
Not betting the turn screams "ZOMG I don't have an ace" or "I have an ace with low kicker". If he calls: blocking bet on the river. Anything wrong with this? |

I like a turn bet. I think it makes this easier to play.

i would bet money that villain has 33/66/77 here.
the fact that he is 20/15 lets me know that he is probably raising a PP from any position here. flop he calls your cbet rather than push you out. turn looks like one of two things: if he puts you on an ace here, his small bet is looking to entice a raise from you, where upon all the monies can go in on the turn. the other possiblity is that its a thin valuebet. on the river, he's looking for value from an ace. let me guess. you called and got taken to valuetown by a set? |

I folded, figuring that a set was his most likely hand.
I didn't bet the turn A as my range for him at that point was set or big pair. I didn't want to fold the big pairs and get raised by the sets. If he had KK,QQ I figured he would check behind river. Facing the river bet I agonised for a while then folded, as a set looked too likely. Thanks for the feedback everyone, it seemed reasonably evenly split - maybe it was close enough to make either move ok? |
