The flop is very dry. So probably only a K or a set will call. If noone has one, the pot is probably yours, because you represented a hand like AK, AA, KK preflop (unless they are cynics and just don't believe you). The problem is that it's not HU and Button showed strength before the flop and UTG came along. So there are quite some Ks in Button's range: AK, KK, KQ, KJs, KTs or any suited K maybe. Add some PPs that he might call with because he thinks you don't have a K. Quite the same is true for UTG, although I would tend to put him more on something suited or a pair. Therefore your cbet doesn't win this reraised pot against 2 players often enough, probably. Check and see what happens.
Turn card didn't really change anything. So if you think that UTG is actually weak, stick with your read and call. If you think he is sucking you in, then fold. |

Flop is dry, unless they have a King they fold.
If they have a King they call and you know what you are up against, shut down. |

If you think he is sucking you in, then fold.
Betting $10 into 2 players and a $33 pot and leaving $3 behind absolutely positively = sucking you in. |

I just check/fold this OOP, I call the flop raise but fold to a turn raise.

Would anybody else be inclined to raise more preflop? If I'm in this sort of position I generally raise 5xbet if im in the blinds with a strong hand. Especially as you are WA of his BTN range. The bigger bet probably forces out the caller.
If you were the guy in the middle and you have 78s a raise to $6 with 3/1 on your cash is call all day. The bigger raise would make it heads up and put loads more pressure on the guy on the btn. Just what my plan is in the situations. Cos this hand is a [censored] to play oop. |
