Lucky,
The exact reason is unknown to me but I think you're on the right track in thinking that it's cultural. Some of the responses have been good so far. |

[ QUOTE ]
Dont have hard evidence of this, but anecdotally from talking to players and observing who the super multitablers are, seems the grimstarrs almost entirely americans. Why is this? Evidence of americans being more materialistic, Europeans prefer love of game and enjoyment, or is that too stereotypical? [/ QUOTE ] My first reaction to this (without thinking about it too hard) is the following: if it had been the other way around, you might be saying something like "does this just show that Americans are the McDonalds-eating, Springer-watching, automatic-transmission-driving, lottery-ticket-buying, fat, lazy bastards who aren't willing to do something difficult for money, and instead go for the easiest path of least resistance?" -bigbootch |

Doesnt the software have a lot to do with it?
PS / PP easier to mutitable since they are slowish and have resize windows. european sites ive seen tend to not have resizing or are silly fast. |

[ QUOTE ] I love how when Americans aren't good at something, or people aren't millionaires living crazy lives, take vacations, don't work hard and just enjoy life, they are failures in the eyes of the international community and evidence as to why American society is going down the tubes, and when they are rich hard working (or not) and flaunt their money etc etc, they are considered hethans who only care about material goods, spend their time trying to screw other people over and are generally unfit for European moral standards. [/ QUOTE ] That is a really long sentence. [/ QUOTE ] ROFL!!! |

[ QUOTE ]
Another way of putting it might be that Europeans like to try and improve until they truly excel at something, whereas Americans just want to satiate their greed and need for immediate gratification! [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, seriously. And what has that "greed" and "need for immediate gratification" gotten us anyway? Oh, right... |

[ QUOTE ]
I think Americans believe the more they work the further ahead they get and Europeans believe the less they work the more free time they have. [/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Another way of putting it might be that Europeans like to try and improve until they truly excel at something, whereas Americans just want to satiate their greed and need for immediate gratification! [/ QUOTE ] this is awesome. an absolutely clear display of liberal vs conservative thinking. bill oreilly would love this as much as i do. |

[/ QUOTE ] I'm a liberal and I agree with the first one, so I don't understand how this highlights a difference between conservative and liberal thinking. How many American liberals do you think would agree with the second statement? |
