That sucks hope she can get it all back and everything.

Did you miss the part where her account finished +12k for of the incident? GambleAB raised an interesting question on P5's about whether she intended to give the money back that was won by the scammer.

That just seems so fishy. If you hacked someone's account, wouldn't you want to spend as little time logged in as that user as possible? You're really going to sit there for X number of hours and do a MTT??

WOW I know what happened now!

This is some sick [censored]. Ok so its like 7am in the morning for me and I'm playing the 11pms (5ams for me). I'm chatting on msn as usual, and bigegypt/pokerjoe9 logs on (All of u know that his account was also hacked earlier) So he asked me to look through some sick hh's from a tourney he played. He sent me a mail to my HOTMAIL account, and it was one of those zip files. I tried to open it but my virusprogram wouldn't let me, I'm stupid enough to ask for help and he tells me exactly how to do it, I start messing with my firewall system and he tells me to recheck if I did everything he said and I'm like...uh yea I think so. I know I should have never done this in the first place, but I want u guys to know what happen so u can be aware of this. He eventually 'gives up' after I've tried for about 30 minutes and then logs off.

I dont think much about it, but 30 minutes later I get a mail from fulltilt support where it has a 'requested new password inside.... so I'm starting to get suspcious and dont really know what to do, so I emmidiately log on to my fulltilt account and change my password before going to bed.

Two hours later I get a phonecall from a friend saying that someone is playing my account on UB so I run over and hes sitting there like I said in the previous post.

I found out about this because I had a friend over who was gonna reformat my computer and he dicided to run the virus progran one last time just to make sure and true enough, he found some key logger thing that I know nothing about that was discovered at about 8am.

Man, the scammer must have logged onto pokerjoe's account again and done all this to me just so he could take my money after I went to bed....again a reason why he 'watched' me play my last sng before I went to bed

ughhh

How are people still stupid enough to go out of their way to open files that a simple email virus scanner won't allow?

i'm guessing it has to do with her thinking she was talking to someone she knew and trusted and didn't really think about the whole situation... but i mean when your virus protection won't allow you to open an email and when someone is asking you to open your firewall.....
