that is pretty bad game selection

[/ QUOTE ]

what made you think i cared about game selection before i wanted to flip coins for stacks?

techie-

first of all, congrats on playing mid stakes and not jumping into big games.

second- what did you do w/ your score, and were you able to write off losses, i.e., did you file as a gambler the year before and were able to take the entire amount and pay taxes at the end of the year? or is this even an option for guys who file a 1099 as a gambler?

All of technologic's bbv posts are tainted by the fact that he's extremely robusto and there is no actual "shot" being taken.

Am I the only one in BBV that thinks this detail makes every single post about Technologic's "shots" just plain stupid.

Like the fun of when HIV/other degenerates go on there "shots" is that if they lose they have to go back to 50max NL, backers, selling drugs, maybe even possble suicide/ga etc.

Am I the only one that feels this way?

btw, congrats to Technologic on the WSOP cash.
and I would be entertained by your posts if you were playing 300-600nl near busto.

So he goes from low limit games, Final tabling a world series, and sticking to respectable limits that he can play well at and you guys are giving the guy a hard time?

I have so much respect for OP due to the following:

1. He started out at lower limits, grinding his way up.
2. He advanced to WSOP through a satellite
3. He has excellent bank roll management / invested his money into +EV investments.
4. He isnt Jamie Gold'ing it up on High Stakes Poker blowing 100k in session after session.

Guys like Raymer still play lower limits at Foxwoods. Just because they have World Series experience doesnt mean they were playing high limits before they made millions.

Much respect for you Doug Kim. Awesome first hand @ 25/50 NL. Congrats bro.

Pretty much exactly how I feel. That kind of score can set you up for life if managed properly, which it seems like Doug is doing. I think it's great how he's staying within his limits and not losing the money stupidly.

And I for one think the irony of Doug Kim "taking shots" at 5knl is what makes this whole thing funny, and I think Doug himself knows that.
