El D,

I don't quite understand how you want this forum to differ from The Lounge.

[/ QUOTE ]

How long has the lounge been up? My guess is that this prove a point forum will have more posts in ten days than the lounge has had in its lifetime.

Right now at 10:43 am Eastern...

43/11 for El Diablo's Forum of Awesomeness and Suave
8/12 for The Lounge
For comparison, there are 10/6 looking at LOL.

El D: I like where your head is at.

I too would like to start threads here as this is exactly the type of forum I have been waiting for. I have lost interest in starting threads in OOT and have no interest in hearing from much of the lounge. You have amassed a good group of folks that have been around and actually have some real experiences - those are the people I want to hear and learn from.

Also, as a new lawyer, I likely have some different experiences and thoughts to bring to the table.

BTW, it is odd to see you in Green. Might I suggest you take a [censored] approach and go black, brown, or other color that sets you off as an individual.

Will you be lobbying to bring the iron chef threads here?

I would like to discuss chèvre and other forms of cheese made from goat milk. Not because I know a lot about that, but I would like to learn. It is indeed delicious goodness.

I would support that, simply so that Mrs. Utah wouldn't have to send 50 PMs every week.

El D, I would love to hear your thoughts on some good reds that are within a non-baller college student's budget ($10-ish?). Also, is perusing my local grocery store's wine aisle good enough, or should I be looking into online vendors?

El Diablo,

Fantastic forum. I promise not to abuse my posting privileges with more than a few select new threads a year.

Default thread suggestion

Could we have a thread about the conflict between professional careers and poker? I don't mean to be exclusive of 9-5ers but I think that certain professions such as law and medicine often require much, much more than 40 hours a week, and much more than simply putting your time in. I don't mean to ask about the intersection of school and poker, I figure that's not really too hard. I am sincerely interested in how people deal with the lure of poker, 2p2, etc when in a professional setting.
