If by "Hansen-style" you mean "shortball poker", you may want to read Erick Lindgren's book. It's all about shortball poker. Hyper-aggressive but not too much chip commitment pre-flop.

Phil Gordon's Little Green Book has a two page thing on Hansen's playing style.

Honestly, aren't you supposed to learn to play good solid winning ABC poker and then start experiementing with different styles of play to see if you can pick up a better edge here or there? You know, learn to walk before you run..

Hansen's style is similar to playing the cube in Backgammon. He is an expert in determining equities. Btw, he also played Yatzee for big money [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

You can't just learn that in a crash course. His play has a highly scientific foundation that needs a few years of study and he doesn't leak anything on it.

Your best shot would be to hope for Paul Magriel to write something on Poker. That's probably as close to Hansen's style as you can get.

download the ESPN WSOP ME coverage and just watch every hand he plays and copy him exactly. if they dont show him playing a certain hand, dont play it, that means he folds it preflop. good luck

hmm, i'd probably go with the regular version because gold is so brilliant that he knew all the pros would be watching the extended version to study it and see him bluffing a lot and think he's a maniac. what they dont know is that how he plays in the extended version is just for show to setup all the fish who watch that version. his REAL style is captured in the regular ESPN converage. hope you can return your extended version!!

Start by telling your opponents exactly what you hold, and ask them to call/fold as you actually want them to.
