just to clarify:
they only have one dart-board. It's a really big dart-board with lots of different responses such as points, MGR or rake (given what day and hour you call) but it is only just one dart-board. You don't want to be heading across it to get a coffee-refill at the top of the hour when all the different C/S reps are required to throw their 'policy change darts' at it. |

[ QUOTE ]
Obviously, doing 18,000 hands at 0.5/1.00 as opposed to doing 10,000 hands at 3.00/6.00, Party prefers to invite the player into the VIP club doing the 10,000 hands at 3.00/6.00 even if rake is "probably similar" because...... who-knows-why! My 2 cents... * CalvinTy [/ QUOTE ] Well since the high volume players keep the games going, maybe they think it's more important to keep the higher limits running smoothly than the lower ones. I don't agree, but that might be their rationale. |

Well they tell me that to qualify for VIP, my goal is 40k hands a month at my ultra high stakes of 25NL. WoohoO!

it appears they might be upping the requirements if you play lower. Seems weird...but $1k at .5/1 might not be enough. They might tell you that "at your limits" you still need to play more. Which is totally stupid since MGR of $1k = MGR of $1k regardless of what limit you are at. But this appears to be a factor they consider. [/ QUOTE ] Why can' they just lay it out so everyone knows and there is no guessing game? Play 50/1 you must generate X mgr play 1/2 you must generate Y mgr...and so on....why does everything have to be so difficult with these guys? |

I signed up at Party at the end of December and had about $2k MGR for January...I emailed them yesterday to ask what exactly was required for VIP status and they replied by welcoming me to the VIP club...

The rake is worse at the lower levels so why wouldnt party want more players there? [/ QUOTE ] It's proportionately worse, sure, but it's less $$$$. Party don't care how many "BB/100" they make in rake. They care about money. I'd be pretty confident the reason it's harder to be a VIP at low stakes is precisely that they want to incentivize the $10/20 and up players to play lots and keep those games buzzing, and that they don't think it's so worthwhile for low stakes where the player pool seems to be endless. Guy. |
