Leak: Playing too many raised pots OOP, especially from the blinds.

I don't think this is a leak
I think the 2p2 consensous is too nitty here.

That's a little general, MT2R. I would say that if OP means he's calling raises from the SB with hands like AJ constantly, it's an issue. But I think he's just being positionally aware, which is important.

OP: Stop being dealt hands like AQs when you're in the blinds.

yeah...definitely is
but, I defend my big blind over 50% of the time against raises. I don't do it with AJ, which sucks against the typical raiser's range. I will do it with J9o.

I think this is a leak for 95% of SSNLers, and I'm not implying I'm exempt.

Fix: Trust your reads and don't listen to malarkey about never playing a big pot with one pair. Attack bad players mercilessly, even when your holding isn't a nut hand.

When you lose big pots, you'll find it's easier to start winning big pots. And when it's checked to you on the river, take a moment before you contentedly check behind and ask why your opponent isn't firing.

Obv situation dependent. I think SPPs are the only hands that are really profitable to play here because they play better OOP.

With J9o you're flopping a weak top pair or a weakish draw OOP. Maybe I am too tight but I think its terrible to call there.

Leak: I have trouble playing when its folded to me in the SB and as of late, I have been spewing like mad, double barreling/etc.

[/ QUOTE ]

Solution: Get a better feel for the opponent to your left.

I always start a session against an unknown to my left by limping into him a few times with ATC to see how he reacts.

Check if he's multi-tabling or not. Single tablers tend to be much more fierce blind defenders.

Keep pots smaller. Try stealing a few times with 3.5xBB raise instead of a 5 or 6xBB raise. Then make a 1/2 pot cbet. Ive found some villains will be disinterested in blind defense for the sake of blind defense when the pot is
6 bb's.

Check PAHud's blind defense stats.

I think this deserves it's own thread. Both when folded to or limped to your SB. I feel like i'm so transparent from the SB.

pretty sure that's a leak. Almost 100% sure. 50% is way too much.

i dont understand why you guys dont just openfold more in the SB, unless the BB is like a superfish. why would you want to play OOP with a marginal hand?
