You could try the new fad they call 'adjusting'. [/ QUOTE ] Regardless if you make adjustments, ie raising pf less, etc. that's not gonna change the fact that people at your table don't have enough chips to play past the flop. It changes the game to is my starter ahead of the other players enough to get it all in and not have to play any streets. Also, if there is only 600 in play across the table thats all you can win. Simply adjusting doesnt change the fact that this ruins the game. |

Of course there are players (like me) wo dont have all day to sit in front of a computer (kids). Sorry if I take your money and then my 2 year old wakes up from her nap, causing me to leave the game. Plus I have a short attention span and the longer I play the more I loose...so why shouldn't I leave when up?

[/ QUOTE ] We are not talking so much about people quiting after they win if they are quitting for good. We are talking about people quiting a game when they double or triple up and continuing to play in other games. Then they sit back down in the game a half hour later and rebuy with a short stack. I don't think anyone would care if one player employed this strategy here and there. But there are many of these players these days and often more than half the table will have less than 50BB's. |

sure. it's a good book. but like he said in his book if one player is doing it, the other players look on the short stack player as a fly in the ointment.
when 1/3 or more of players are doing it, it changes the game I don't remember in his book if part of his strategy was to double up, then quit the game and come back with the MIN buy in again? That would be a seperate and equally irritating issue. And again, if one player is doing it okay, but when it starts to be the norm...errrrr |

hmm...I've been doing this for years..and now Rolf has to go and spoil things.
Agreed, stop the plebeians doing this and just allow us really annoying chaps to do so instead. |
