No, he called 2 and raised 3, giving villan 3.33 to 1 to call if he is drawing if my maths is correct. If his total action had been $7 (call 2, and raise 5) then the pots odds are reduced to 2.4 to 1 which is significant if villian is drawing. This is what is meant by a pot sized raise.

Pot size raise would be:

Calling the $2 flop bet makes the pot $3 + his 2 + your $2 call = $7. You raise $7 more making your total bet $9. Raising pot would be to $9.

I really don't understand all the hate for the c/r. Whats so awful about it?

Hands we might c/r on this board are generally super strong ones or air. I think its good to have a nice mix so you don't stay too predictable. Now, metagame/balance don't matter as much at uNL, but as you move up, you'll want to mix things up a bit.

In this particular spot, I probably would c/c the flop. I'm not despising this c/r as much as others though, and I think its an okay line to take.

I raised as much as I did because I put 5 dollars of my own money in to win a pot with 5 dollars in it already. I figure he folds to this raise 1 outta every 2 times so that gets me to even.

For some reason he just called my c/r with AJ and the turn came with the A, needless to say I got him all in.
