and yes SNGPT is a must have program, just like pokerstove (and of course pokertracker or pokeroffice).

I wouldn't really say Pokertracker/office is a must for MTTs.

I must contradict you on this one. Anything that keeps your Hand History for later reference is good. As in you were just knocked from a tournament, not pushing enough and when you M dropped below 3 you pushed all in, got called and went out. After that you can go look through all the previous hands, analyze them and actually realise that you couldve pushed several times before when your M was higher and couldve hurt the medium stacks and you wouldve stolen the blinds and antes.
I dont play ring games that much (maybe just omaha), only MTTs and SNGs. It's always good after a SNG or tournament to go back and analyse what you have been doing, i was many times amazed of what mistakes i did, or when i tried a steal in the wrong time.
I might be mistaken, but that's my oppionion, so sorry to contradict you!
regards

You're not mistaken in that analyzing your own play is good, but hand histories are often downloaded to your own computer as well, depending on the site. I'm very much guilty of not doing this enough, but I prefer using the replayer on pokerxfactor. Btw, if you always analyze your own games, you're a sick sick sick person

really im just trying to learn as much as i can. ive been playing for 4 months now, after having some "bad beats" in betting (made a lot of money in the first matches of the world cup, then i lost it all in the next ones), so i figured gambling is bad, and poker is more "in your own hands".
when i first started i kinda lost everything, no bankroll management, no nothing, then i found some poker forums and a very good romanian one and i started learning. i saw some improvements so i figured why not really try to get better. so i bought HoH 1,2,3 NLH latest edition by sklansky and tournament poker for adv players. ive just finished HoH 3, and i must admit that lately ive had a lot of finishes in the bubble, some 2nd and 3rd places in large MTTs (still not breaking even with all the money i lost before though), but it's a start.
and analysing HH is helping a lot, like i said, sometimes i wonder how stupid i played, and you know, by not doing the same mistakes again especially after you realised it was a mistake IT IS A GREAT IMPROVEMENT.
anyways, im just learning, i cant compare to anyone here, but im trying

I'm sure you know this, but just in case you do not - you can load your HH into SNGPT and analyze it that way. Great, great way to find your push/call leaks. An absolute must for SNG play.

yeap i knew, but thanks, maybe others saw it and will use it as well.
what i wanted to say is the general idea of having all the hands saved somewhere for later refferance.
