I raise this a lot. If he bets less than that, I raise almost always against most opponents. If he calls, I check behind on the turn no matter what card hits. On the river, it all depends on what falls.

Different villains will make bets like this with different holdings. Figuring out what sorts of things they'll do this with is like free money.

There was a hand in MSNL the other week where someone had AT on a JKx board and got donked into like this. Everyone said a raise was very standard since we take it down a lot and can also peel a free river a lot. Is this good at SSNL? How bout if villain bet closer to pot on the flop?

That was different, if I remember correctly that was raising a TAGs continuation bet.

The way I look at this hand is that he is a donk so I don't aim to bluff him. I don't mind c-betting against donks because most of the time they miss the flop so they fold enough. But, after the flop, the donk bets into me indicating that he likes his hand. So if I didn't hit, I don't aim to bluff, so I fold.

I find that these donk bets are usually a mediocre hand (most of the time) or they are trapping with a huge hand (not that often). That being said, i raise this 100% of the time, and i'd say they fold at least 60% of the time after the weak lead. If they reraise, i make a note and fold.

A weak-tight player. Someone who folds a lot.

If the bet was closer to full pot, I fold.
