I'd say I'd be willing to try again.

What is the nature of your concurrent sessions and what settings do you use for logging in ? That is, "Remember me each visit" is that checked, and do you tell the browser to remember usernames and passwords, etc.

I have 'remember me' checked. I use IE7. I don't have it remember any passwords or screen names or anything. It doesn't always work, but sometimes it does.

OK, "remember me" does the trick.

Cool.

You can have multiple machines logged in with that option checked on login. In fact, you can log in a second place without the option, and both sessions will be valid.

But you can only have one current session working that does not have the "remember me" option set.

The "remember me" options sets an additional cookie called w3t_key and that seems to have enough juice to keep you logged in despite an second login elsewhere.
