There was today when I did, and got e-mail back from them with the qoute -’Unfortunately this fee must be charged to defray the processing costs associated with withdrawal transactions’

They've always charged a fee for withdrawals when ur account isn't being "active", not having depositing for a while. Do a search or something.

I stand corrected. I just checked and it is true. They are charging $10 a withdrawal. I have written customer service demanding an explanation. What does this really mean?

I have used Firepay for years, and only once was I charged the $10 fee because I hadn't made any recent deposits. I just withdrew a few days ago with no fee, but when I checked just now they are charging me the $10. This could be a coincidence since it has been a while since I deposited, but I doubt that.

a/ There are other ways to fund a poker account if you wish.
b/ Why shouldn't Firepay be compensated for taking on additional risk?

Read the T&C idoit. There's a loophole to this. Deposit with a 3.99 fee then just withdraw for free. If you deposit regulary, withdrawals are free.
