I am just hoping for a great series. I am not really sure who I would prefer to advance.

I really look forward to Santana/Zito though. And I hope the Twins kids can have some decent starts while against Haren and the rest.

Only 1 kid remains, BOOOOOOOOOF, others being injured or not in the playoff rotation.

on a serious note, I CAN NOT BELIEVE THE GAME IS AT 1000 AM PACIFIC TIME???? DO THE ATHLETICS NOT HAVE FANS? I would skip class in a heart beat for these games but I have a freaking test on tuesday. aaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrggggggggghhh.

[/ QUOTE ]

No, the A's don't have a lot of fans. I think there are 12 of us. This is obviously the least attractive series for the media.

I'll be rooting for whoever wins game 1 to sweep the series so they can be rested for the Yankees.

A sick part of me wants the Twins to win, so we can again here how the A's "aren't built for the playoffs."

Yeah it sucks that non NY/LA/CHI markets always get screwed.

The Twins are 17-0 this year with Johan starting at home, just in case anyone believed the Sportscenter position that this is the most evenly matched playoff series.

Sounds like he's due for a correction.

Boris, the key for the A's is actually easier than that. They just need to close their eyes and pretend they're playing the Mariners. Series over!

This should be a good one though. I think this will be a tough one, probably 5 games.

On WSEX I see LA +130/NYM -150, STL +140/SD -160, OAK +140/MN -160.

This seems fair to me, though if I was to bet on any of these teams I would bet on MN. (HOMER duh). But everything I hear on sportscenter and ESPN radio says that the Mets, Padres and Yankees are going to blow out their competition and that Oakland/Minnesota is a pick'em. I just don't think that is giving enough respect to a great home team with home field ad. who finished the season 71-33 and is starting Johan for 2 games in the 5 game series.
