I'm pretty sure the villain in this hand was fsuplayer from one of his previous posts where he said his party name. I usually fold this pf, to be honest I'm not really sure why I called here, although I don't think its that bad either way. Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ Hero (6 max, 5 handed) internettexasholdem.com Hero ($2113.75) UTG ($933.50) MP ($942.63) Button ($1358.62) SB ($826) Preflop: Hero is BB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $5. UTG calls $10, 1 fold, Button raises to $45, 1 fold, Hero calls $35, UTG calls $35. Flop: ($140) T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] I lead for 110, folds to fsu, he makes it 310. Does he raise AK/ air here enough for a push to be profitable? I pushed, but afterwards I realized that most players probably smooth call most big aces here. [/ QUOTE ] His stack is not deep enough to be worried about whether or not he has a big hand. Push the flop. The amount of money already in the pot, your overlay, will help you if you're behind a set. |

In my experience with FSU he is likely to just call this flop with AK.
I do think if he raises he probably does have to call it off, but I'm not exactly sure about the dynamic between you two. -Jason |

push HOPING he has AK? OMGLOLOL! [/ QUOTE ] I agree with everything Flawless wrote. The play is to push AT here "hoping he has AK" cause AK call it like 80% of the time (some players can find a call but not too many). I also agree that despite of that pushing is ok +EV play. |

I didnt know this was you until i sent the hand to someone with the title "standard", as I had A10s and lost another 55/45 type flop push.
im kinda suprised you posted the hand bc its a bit of a yawner, standard all around. you have to push not bc AK is getting tossed some of the time here but that i have air here a certain % of the time and will fold to a push. that offsets the times i have AK or better and you are a dog. fwiw, the 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] spiked on the turn and i didnt improve on the river. nh. |
