[ QUOTE ]
oh boy i really wanna hear the people telling me to go all in EP with AKo now rather than folding. where are they all at?! come out of your hiding spots you fish. [/ QUOTE ] I sort-of advocated it, but it was over a raise, not open. That's just silly. And I don't even do that anymore. Basically any non-standard play I ever espouse on here immediately stops working for me the second I mention it. And every fear expressed on this board comes true. IE - first time I re-raise pushed early level with AK, 66 called, I lost. Never happened once until I talked about it on this board. Now I can't steal a pot to save my life. I just sit there card dead and wait for the blinds to hit me like everyone else. Yay. But I did win one doing that. So maybe there's something to it. Just a lot more stressful than having a nice stack. And you have to get the cards. |

Why did you limp? [/ QUOTE ] I do it quite rarely but when there are a few regulars at the table, I think its important that they see you limp with AA-KK sometimes. There was no strategy behind it, I just basically randomly decided, as I do on occasion with AA and KK in EP. |

AK is the most overrated hand in lvls 1+2. [/ QUOTE ] At higher buy-ins I'm sure this is right... but... pulling this move at $22 and $33 when a donk has opened the pot doubles me up fairly consistently when he shows AJo. Seriously, it is always AJo. rvg |

It's just that -- out on the third hand over a small pot -- that doesn't make you feel all warm and fuzzy. |
