I think this defense is a turf defense, much the same way Warner/Faulk rams were a turf offense.

Not flaming, but this sounds very much like something John Madden would say.

well...it's a turf defense because turf emphasizes speed and that is where the Bears, specifically Urlacher, excels.

My only concern is the two really really bad teams the Bears have played this year have both been able to have a successful running game against them. If the Bears were not 25+ points ahead, those teams would have been able to grind down the D with the running game and get some points...they couldn't because of the lead the Bears jumped out to early in the games.

That said, the Vikes and Bears always play really tough against each other, as Divisional rivals should. I do believe the Bears are a better team, and if they can get to B Johnson, it will be a very very long day for the Vikes.

I won't bet on the Bears, as they are my team, but I do expect them to run the table this year in the North.

Final score:

Bears 24 Vikings 14

Anyone elso thinking Bears/Ravens possible superbowl. I know it's extremely early.

[/ QUOTE ]

My only problem with this, is both QB's have health issues.

While I've been impressed with the Bears and Ravens, I'd like to see them beat teams other than 4 of the worst 6 teams in the NFL right now.

I see the Vikes keeping it close, but I don't think they score enough to win.

[/ QUOTE ]

The Bears didnt beat two bad teams they destroyed them.

Bears 20 Vikings 10

I'm a big Ravens fan and would obviously love to see them in the Super Bowl, but they need to beat some good teams to prove they're for real. So far they've crushed one team that was supposed to be good but it turns out might be bad (Tampa Bay) and one positively awful team (Oakland). They didn't look good at all against Oakland; against any other team in the league that game would have been a lot closer.

I'm aware of that. I wasn't knocking them, and right now I think they may even be the best team in the NFC. I was just reminding people not to start screaming SB matchup immediately after Week 2 because 2 teams have looked good against absolutely terrible opponents.

It seems as though this Bears bandwagon will fill up quickly. Don't worry MyTurn2Raise we will always keep some room for you if you come around.

I almost bet on the Bears big here, but remembered how the dome can be a house of horrors. I think that's the only thing preventing a double-digit win for Chicago.
