Jean is about 15 minutes north on I-15 and houses Nevada Landing and the Gold Stike.

Play three or four orbits. Go outside, stretch the legs and burn two cigs. Inhale, post, repeat.

Bally's in AC allowed smoking when I was there a year or so ago. So did the Sandia in Albuquerque, N.M., but that was more like 4 years ago.

I don't know if the rules at either place have changed.

Time to get technical and nitty.

"Primm" is actually not a city, but an honorary name for the area of stateline, after the founder of Primm Vally (formerly Primadonna). Though it is commonly known as Primm to the locals (and is labeled as such on most casino items), the area is in actuality (and formerly mapped) as Jean, NV, which is an actual city.

Much like Summerlin is just a part of Las Vegas, Primm is just a part of Jean.

Ballys still allows smoking when I was there a few weeks ago. I can't imagine that it has changed. I think I was the _only_ non smoker in the joint.

The Hard Rock in Tampa, but not in Hollywood. It can be argued, however, that these places do not offer poker as much as bingo with cards.

Some of the Okie poker rooms allow smoking at the table; for others, you have to walk as many as three feet to the bar before lighting up.

In Reno:

The Eldorado you can smoke after 2am. Kinda funny how everyone lights up at once at 2. (best room in town, but rarely anything higher than 4/8. Some 10/20 occasionally on weekends)

Cal Neva allows smoking all the time but is a dump and the games are mostly 3/6 or spread limit.

Nice to compile a list of places to avoid at all costs.

Hi LVM & Photoc,

The Orleans did away with smoking on graveyard about a year or so back.

Best Wishes

Howard
