far too much results-oriented analysis. seif will comment on hands where any reasonably intelligent person would fold and he'll say, "now, i'd call there for sure." fast forward to a similar scenario: "he's just GOTTA know his opponent has TENS!"
overall it doesn't bother me too much but the repeated football analogies and (pot's been raised by a LAG, nit reraises, third player folds KJs) "i'd call that all day long" type stuff can wear thin after about 6.4 minutes. it sorta distracts me from the poker, because i wanna hear some of the table-talk but it's usually drowned out by the announcers mentioning, yet again, how this is the PPT, everyone wants to win it, best of the best, etc |

I DVR it and skip past all the intros/outros and just get to the hands. MUCH more enjoyable that way. [/ QUOTE ] You can't be watching PPT then because these guys talks about this during the play of every hand and every card on every hand. |

Maybe it's Seif's playing saying "I WANNA PLAY! I WANNA PLAY!"

The commentary on PPT is so overbearing and obnoxious that I no longer watch. The whole show is like a commercial for itself.

This tournament had 180 players, as much as I don't like Seif, he's probably one of the top 180 tournament players. (definately more deserving of being there than Mimi Rodgers or Jan Fisher) |

I would say he looked at it as a chance to do something that will maybe get him a job in the future. As well as maybe he got paid enough doing that where it was better than doing what everyone else wanted. Which we all know was "to be one of the first PPT champions ever"! |

"The players want to win this so bad, they'll do anything to win!"
"They want it so bad they can taste it!" "There isn't anyone out there who doesn't want to be the first PPT champion." - except Mark Seif who wisely would rather commentate. |

I tried to play a drinking game with this last night. Every time they say "tournament life," do a shot. I am now posting this from the hospital, recovering from severe alcohol poisoning.

seif seems to always have a problem with someone folding Kx suited after a raise and reraise. He needs to realize that his maniac style isnt the standard, these guys make me miss sexton/vvp.
I will say that the electric guitar riffs in between segments are hilariously bad. |
