I think foldnig first hand is fine.

2nd hand is tougher. Sometimes I just make a guess as to whether I have maybe 10-25% of fold equity and I push. Even if I have none, its probably not so bad. The other shortstack is solid, so probably won't do anything foolish to give me +EV by just sticking around with no chips.
