Now if they can just get rich Chinese businessmen to start playing NLHE cash games in Macau instead of Black Jack and Bacarrat...

What's Macau like? Do they have much poker there?

Texas Hold'em is not in Macau, YET.

WPTE has signed a contract to air WPT episodes on a television station in Macau.

American style casinos are scheduled to open in Macau within the next 24 months.

Wynn Macau opens September 5.

Venetian Macau is scheduled to open in the summer of 2007.

The opening of MGM Grand Macau is being pushed back to at least the 3rd quarter of 2007. Construction of that building was delayed.

Poker does NOT air on TV in China, Hong Kong, or Taiwan at this time. Specifically, Asian sports TV giant ESPN STAR Sports (ESS), which is managed by NewsCorp (Rupert Murdoch), does NOT air poker on ANY network operated by ESS, which is based in Singapore.

Getting TV poker into the major Chinese-speaking markets will be the key to driving Texas Hold'em into Macau.
