It was reported in one of the recent main event threads that Cardplayer incorrectly reported it being Eric Molina, but it was infact Prahlad. I'm sure the link is around here somewhere.

I gained a [censored] of respect for him as a person after this interview

You mean when he was throwing his all-in chip and taunting and goading Jamie Gold? Yea, Nice and peaceful Prahlad Friedman. Hell of a guy!

Next time answer the question from the poker reporter about poker and butt-out of world affairs. Or atleast try not to attack another player at the table with your all-in chip.

Man what a [censored] hater. Go back to Fox news.

Prahlad is awesome. This interview confirms that.

[/ QUOTE ]

Huh? Fox News? I don't watch that spin either.

Is it so much to ask that a poker player give his response to the poker question instead of injecting politics.

Let's just spend our 24 hours, 7 days, 52 weeks going around repeating, "Gee, I'd be alot happier if there wasn't any war."

Aug 10: "Hey Prahlad, How are you today?" "Miserable. There's war."

Aug 11: "Hey Prahlad, What's up?" "Just war. Everywhere."

Aug 12: "Hey Prahlad, What's new man? "Nothing new, same old war killing people."

Go stuff it in a sack. We'd all be living in caves if every person on the planet just walked around moping all day about conflicts they have no control over.

There's people being murdered and raped every day in THIS country.. Why not say something about that.

"Hey Prahlad, Are you upset you were eliminated today?"

"No, I'm just happy I wasn't raped and murdered today with all the crime around here."

Put him in a strait jacket.

How about do it in the realm of politics?

Or if you're going to mope around about a cause, do it about a cause you can actually DO SOMETHING ABOUT.

Talk about donating money to cure cancer, parkinsons, etc.. Big Brother/Big Sister in your local neighborhoods.. Whatever.. MAKE A DIFFERENCE instead of moping around.

He's entitled to whatever opinion he has, but when a POKER REPORTER asks you how you feel after being busted about of a POKER EVENT, don't <insert anti-war line here>.

You guys are a bunch of weinies.

excellent interview. my reaction was, "such a badass." must be nice to 'grind it out at 200/400 NL,' as another posted said.

i tend to want people to stfu when they inject political arguments into non-political topics. actors do this constantly and i wish they'd all stfu regardless of their views. but i have to say you saw it coming given his past. no complaints, though. when he won his 2003 wsop bracelet he bashed the iraq war and that was at a time when so-called "patriotism" (aka jingoism) was rampant in this country. that was pretty brave of him, and you have to respect that. it's so trendy now to be anti-bush and especially anti-war but he's been that way all along.

agree or disagree, opposing views are often stifled in this country, and maybe he didn't pick the right/best venue for his speech, but he still expressed a very unpopular opinion at the time and didn't give a [censored] what others thought of him or his beliefs.

Never met him nor played against him do I have any desire to. He's a vastly superior poker player to me I can guarantee (but then again so is about 99% of the people on here).

He's already king dork for his lame raps. Now he's a pathetic little moper.
