The VIP is different. The more people you have at the table the better the VIP progam is vs. rb. For example, a ten player table plays $1 in rake that's about $.025 in rb giiven 25% rb. At a 6 player table, that's $.041. At stars, those are both 1 VIPP. |

Those games are VERY beatable either way.. A solid player can easily make 1.5-2bb/100 at these games, although a good rakeback deal is very valuable, particularly at these lower limits. I think it was Bryce in the MHSH forums who said that he believes that up until 15/30, you should be a rakeback player. Also, by doing a quick little google search, you should be able to come up with some comparitave figures on how the rake differs from site to site. [/ QUOTE ] But if you play higher than 15/30 you should pass up on rakeback? |

And that 2.77BB/100 is just for you, a tight player who picks his spots. Have a look at the rake for the average player at the bottom of the BB/100 column on the Summary tab. Significantly more than what you are paying. Not only that, for all of us that are paying below the average rake, there are fish that are paying significantly above it!

I can't find the post where he said it, so I guess I'll just have to admit defeat and come to terms with the fact that I'm an idiot who never considered the stupidity of that statement . I certainly don't think he meant that you SHOULDN'T play with rb at 15/30+, just that he believes it to be better to play in tougher games where you're NOT going to be winning 2bb/100, and instead rely on rb to make up your winrate at the lower limits. Cool?! |

Im going to take a while guess and say bryce was saying $/100 is more important than BB/100. So someone can beat a rakebackless site @ 2BB/100 or a rakeback site @ 1.5BB/100 + 1BB/100 in RB, then he should choose the site w RB. When playing at higher stakes since rake is < BBs at the softer site W/o RB it becomes more profitable the play there.
