[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] I would have called the turn and river bet. [/ QUOTE ] That turn card sucks in a few different ways. Are you calling down or folding to a 3-bet on this turn? [/ QUOTE ] I would not have raised my opponent's turn bet. I would have called down instead. If I had raised my opponent's turn bet, then I would have folded to a 3-bet. [/ QUOTE ] Sorry, didnt mean you Fantam. I am with you on calling down from turn donk. Was meaning to ask OP what he does when 3-bets on the turn? |

Raise it up. This guy seems extremely weak and it looks like you have this one won.

*Grunching*
Hmmm, so we have an LP leading out on a semi-oatmeal board 4/3/8 - 2 flush. I smell top-medium pair, Ax. V is b/c your raises which tells me a flush draw is possible, but V's not raising, so I can't say for sure. There was another post similar to this one except V was in position and calling down. Everyone said to b/f the river (with a few saying to b/c). Following the same logic as that post, this should probably be a raise as well. If V 3-bets, I don't mind a fold. I can't possibly think V suspects you're bluffing given your show of strengh. Here's the other post: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showth...&PHPSESSID= I agree with the way you played this hand. In general, V hasn't given you a reason to think your hand isn't best. Agains a player who likes to call alot raising is the best thing here, you'll get paid off most of the time. But take the bad with the good when you're occasionally beaten. |

[/ QUOTE ] His stats are what would lead me to raise. I could see this guy holding A8 or something. I personally think we have this hand won. |

Its almost impossible to narrow down this guys' range to a reasonable amount of hands. He could have any pocket pair, some weird flush draw, even connectors (suited and unsuited). Lots of morons will donk on all the way if they're happy with their hand, regardless if they get raised (remember, they dont care/have any idea what YOU have!). You might well be good here, but personally I'd slow down on the river and just call it down expecting to see cards I didnt expect.

I'd expect him to have an 8 always. Just call and hope it isn't K8. Turn raise is a must versus this guy.

It's near impossible to put this guy on any specific hand. I can pick 20 winning wons and 20 losing ones. The stats aren't useful except he is agressive over who knows how many hands. If the read is good, then why is someone who is along for the ride, leading into 4 other players one of whom was the pfr? Then donking left and right on a scary board. Since I would have no clue what the heck he had and would not fold to a 3bet, so I'm for calling the final river donk and expect to see the amazing 75 of clubs.

Might as well raise again. This guy looks stupid enough to call plenty of times with a worse hand. [/ QUOTE ] Which is quite possibly what he's saying as he bets flop, turn, river with his set of eights |
