The first regret I had after getting inside was my decision to not bring weed

Sometimes a specially-trained dog will be sniffing around people's luggage at the airport, so be careful.

I don't think I'd do it on an international flight for obvious reasons, but domestic...pffff.

Keep it on your person. When is the last time you where strip searched to get on a plane? Just don't put it in your pockets cause they make you empty those. Stuff it down your pants or something.

The weed I buy has never set off a metal detector.

This goes for driving a car also. Always keep it on you.

first time i smuggled weed i was going to Beijing, sitting next to me was a university professor from east coast canada. very delightful guy we had like a 5 hour conversation near the end of hte 13 hour flight after we got sleep. turns out that he blazes and was bringing weed to china. and so was i. he said his friend got caught going into Tokyo with 15 grams(cuz he put a big ziploc bag just on top of his luggage and they fined him 500$ and let him off with no criminal charges wahts so ever.

that said i think bringing it on the person is a terrible idea, especially if you run into dogs, you'd be done for. put it in the deep ends of the luggae, when was the last time someone opened eery bottle in your luggage along with vitamins and [censored].

i've smuggled plenty for leisure reasons(blazing on the great wall anyone?) and have never been caught. i think the customs wont be too pissed when they see you bring 3 grams for yourself on a business/pleasure trip.

My buddy tried this when coming from Amsterdam into Italy. He put the weed in a bag(not sure how much, maybe an ounce?) and stuck it deep in a jar of Nutella, making sure to cover it with Nutella as well. When he came out at the airport, one of the customs dogs jumped up and started barking at him. They took him to a room and took apart all his stuff, even opening the jar of Nutella, but didn't really look inside too closely(although they painstakingly took apart all his pens, wtf?).

After about an hour, they let him go, since they didn't find anything. He kept his composure but when we met him in Italy he said he was freaking out pretty bad when the dog jumped on him.

We smoked chocolately-smelling weed the rest of the trip.

I always make it a goal to chat up the person on the plane next to me really well, especially for those 10+ hour flights.

Remind me not to sit next to you on a plane.

Anyway, cool trip report. Looking foward to the pictures and the rest of it.

Re: Drugs on a plane. I don't smoke and I have no idea what the laws are regarding taking drugs across borders, but I do know that those drug dogs are really, really good at what they do. You could drop the weed into a bottle of perfume and they would still smell it.

Second morning I got up and went to the biggest fresh fish market in the country. The scene was so overwhemlming I can not describe it by words, everything from huge fish bigger than me and huge shops dedicated to eel was there, fish gut was flowing everywhere.(I will upload the pictures as soon as I figure out how so you get a better idea) Every so often I'd see a white guy looking much more confused and lost than I do so I feel much more comfortable.

Tsukiji, I assume. Never been there but I've heard it's insane.
