I don't think that matters. PT stores the original hand histories for each site, so when you export I'm pretty sure you get the hands in the same format as the original site produced.

I don't know how Poker Office works, but I would expect it to work the same way.

[/ QUOTE ]

Are you sure abhout this? I thought PT stored hands in an internal format (which all the converter sites seem to undersatand)

Are you going to be running one of these every two weeks? I would love to participate but I'm signing papers for my first house wed. and we're supposed to get the keys fri, so I'm going to be busy moving and don't want to commit when I know I won't be able to give my full attention.

Sometimes you might make certain plays based on the notes/stats you had on your opponents. Usually I just included those times in the email I sent to my partner, and if a discussion about a hand arose I went back and checked the player notes I had. Exporting notes is probably overkill, but if you think it's necessary:

If you feel it necessary that your partner knows what you knew at the time, you may want to export your player notes and stats:

Exporting notes:

Go to Utilities > Import/Export Player Notes

First Import Notes INTO Poker Tracker. This will put all the notes you’ve collected into PT. If you skip this step, the notes you took will be lost when you export, and you'll have to go find the backup.

Next, click the “Advanced Export” button and go through the 3 steps. This will write the stats you select into PT player notes, in any format you like. The tutorial on how to use this feature is included with the PT help files.

Finally, create a Notes.txt file on your desktop (if you’re playing Absolute Poker you’ll have to create Note.ini; if you’re playing Paradise it’s PlayerNotes.txt). Change the location of your Player Notes file to the newly created location. Export Notes FROM Poker Tracker. This will ensure that you don’t create thousands of notes of PT data, then it’ll take you forever to delete them. Send your partner the Notes.txt.

Importing notes:

Download the notes you received from your partner. Change the location of the site you’re importing to the downloaded notes file. Import Notes INTO Poker Tracker.

I don’t know how to purge notes, so you’ll be stuck with them.

The biggest problem with using this approach is all the hassle. If you don’t import notes first you’ll have to get them from a backup file. If you don’t change the file location, you’ll have a lot of PT data in your notes. A couple of months ago I exported my notes to play on my HUD-less laptop, and now I still come across players that I have PT data in my notes for (I like to keep my notes play-specific, not general data). If your database has a lot of hands, and especially if you're playing $100nl or lower, your db will contain A LOT of players. Your partner will get thousands of players' PT data and only 10-25 players will be relevant.

Also, the notes you’ve collected while playing the tables might influence the decisions of your partner, so you’ll have to point out which notes and stats came during the session.
