OOT: possible porn policy change

then it should stay...but doubt OOT will be much worse off if the one liner posts or polls go away.

Top 10 lists though should stay....if its good enough for late night TV its good enough for OOT.

This seems a bit much to me. How far do you want to go with this? This is a gambling forum after all. You shouldn't expect to sit at work looking at a gambling site and have it look like the Disney site or something. Just my $.02.

I am talking about mostly about links to vids and pics but I don't want to limit it to just that as I think there could be some discussion that would be vulgar enough it would have to qualify, although I would be really hesitant on this.

I'm still working this out myself so its hard to get to specifics. I suspect it will be something thats worked out over time

As far as thread titles one thing that will stop immediately is the circumventing the filter in thread titles that I've seen become more common. this will pretty much start resulting in a [censored]-ing

I should caveat that with, when I say "work," what I really mean is "public." As it stands right now, I wouldn't want to be browsing OOT in public, because of the vulgarity of some of the thread titles.

what about really vulgar words alone as well? Wouldn't that mean the long running JoeyB thread should finally be locked and allowed to fade into the archives? I know a certain poster who made it is inordinately proud of it as it represented his best work in these forums and his contributions have been downhill from there, but still it seems any new standards have to apply to it also.

There are much better places to find porn on the internet, and if it will make Mason and Mat and whomever feel better about what's going on it OOT, by all means remove it. Rather than simply deleting threads/banning people, there's got to be a more entertaining way to punish those who insist on NSFW stuff in OOT.
