[ QUOTE ]
If he had returned one hand later than he did (ie if he missed exactly 1 orbit or exactly 2 orbits and came back right at his SB instead of his BB) would he be allowed to continue playing immediately without any extra posting? [/ QUOTE ] no |

At MCC they used to give you a button for every round of blinds missed. After coming back in the big blind, one dealer tried to make me post every hand thereafter until all my buttons were gone.

...the waitress ends up leaving the beer with Roger for him to deal with it himself. [/ QUOTE ] Good for her! [ QUOTE ] Nit gets annoyed and, for the first time I have ever seen, calls the pit boss. No hands are dealt while we wait for the pit. [/ QUOTE ] This is so bad, I'm at a loss to respond. |

[/ QUOTE ] The dispute started just before a new down. Once the dealer was ready to continue the game, a new dealer came in and didn't deal a hand until Roger was able to learn whether or not he had to post. This isn't the best run cardroom I've been in. |

Roger is a moron for asking the waitress to bring a drink to someone at another table that she doesn't know by sight.
P.S. If drinks are free, then Roger deserves a kick in the nuts. |

No, because you can't come into a game in the Small Blind. In this case he would have to wait until the button passed him and then post dead (BB and SB). [/ QUOTE ] If the cardroom in question allows you to "buy the button" you can post BB+SB in the SB position and get the last action preflop. The following hand, you get the button and play continues normally. |
