Default Re: Blind hand.. What to do on turn

folding here seems weak. granted he is donking to represent the 7, but i have pulled off a simlar move HU many times. even if he odes have a Q, i prob have outs to a chop with a paired board.

anyway, i ended up calling. river is a J and now villain proces to check. check behind and take the free showdown or bet?

villain is 15/7/.93 over 93 hands on party 1/2.

all fold to villain in SB who compltes and i have Q4. Flop comes Q77(rainbow). villain checks, i bet, villain calls. turn is 6(no flush draw) and villain donks. i...?

Against Q5+ and x7, you do not want to put any money in
Against PPs, Q3, Q2, you want to raise for value.
Against a bluff, Ax, x6, you want to call, as to induce a river bet, though, if the pot were bigger, you'd want Ax, Kx, x6 to fold. I estimate villian is bluffing a lot.

In sum, I say call behind on the turn. Then, bet any river if checked to, call if villian bets an A or K, and cap a 7.

EDIT: I neglected when villian bets an innocuous river. that's a call too, as villian will not call with many of the hands you beat, but his/r raises will often indicate you are behind, but for the pot odds you'd probably be stuck calling.

Yikes, what worse hands does this villain check/call with and then donk the turn? Villain is pretty tight and somewhat passive. Although ninety hands isn't a good read, I think this pot is too small to call down against this villain.

Such would be the line you'd take to steal the pot with nothing/little away from someone trying to stab at it on the flop with nothing/little.

He just called on the flop and then donks. This may very well be a bluff or a sign of weakness. Wouldn't he CR if he had hit something good? This is a WA/WB situation, with a lean to WA, IMO.

I can't see a fold here, though I understand the pot is still pretty small. You could call him down, or you could raise/fold to a 3-bet. Since he donked and you don't really know him, it would be nice to see what he has, for future reference, so I'd just call him down. Make SURE you see his cards at the end.

Just my $.02 worth...

I completely agree. I think the donk is a donkey move, since he'd probably C/R anything good. If he is bluffing, let him take a stab at it again on the river. If he has a small PP, he's drawing so slim, I wouldn't mind giving him a cheap card. If he's ahead, he'll spank you with a 3-bet.

Call here and bet the river if checked to. If you spike a Q, go to town.
