As others have pointed out, I think b/f the turn is the way to go. You don't want another [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] to fall on the river. The board is scary, and with a protected pot, if someone raises, you can easily fold.
As played, if you are going to call the turn, why are you check folding the river? |

Im folding this pre flop, something that has not been mentioned as of yet.
I like the flop bet. I would bet the turn to not give a club a free card, i dont want it to get checked thru, I agree w/ Buck that few turns w/ this many players is checked thru, but by betting I think I put myself in a better spot to evaluate and give myself the chance to fold to a raise. The river looks like a blank. I would check w/ the intention of calling a single bet or folding to two bets. Playing this hand in a multiway pot out of postiion is what makes for the harder postflop decisions imo. |

I dont really understand Buck's c/c the turn line. This allows those with draws to possibly take free cards and those with worse aces to see a free river if they chose. If we have the best hand a bet is the only hope of protection, but if we get raised all signs point to our hand being no good at a cost of 1bb. C/c the turn and I guess c/c the river or betting a non-paint non-club is an expensive way to find out our 1 pair is no good. |

[ QUOTE ] hah. 13:2 isnt good enough for ya? [/ QUOTE ] huh? [/ QUOTE ] Preflop: Hero is SB with T, A. 2 folds, UTG+2 calls ($3), MP1 calls($3), 3 folds, Button calls($3), Hero ($1 sb) completes, BB checks ($3bb). when the action gets to you, you are getting 13:2 odds on your money, right? Sounds good for any 2 broadways to me. |

No not really, its only 10$ when it gets to you and costing you 2$ more. 5:1 not knowing what the BB will do, oop in a family pot. Two unsuited broadways does not look very good to me, maybe its just me though, nobody else mentioned it.

lol, im going to quit posting before my coffee and while im trying to dodge bosses at work.
Now that I have had my coffee and the bosses have gone to there offices 13:2 looks fine to me. However, I would still be mucking in this spot, so I guess to answer your original question, no 6.5:1 is not enough for me here. |

Easy call preflop, bet/fold the turn.
You checked into 3 other opponents who will likely bet a ton of different hands/draws (especially since you showed weakness) and then you assume you are behind when it is bet. This is pretty bad. Also, you don't have a club in your hand which makes the turn even more of a bet. You basically gave up the pot after your flop bet was called. Haupt_234 |
