in the end, the book lady hemmed and hawed and finally called with Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]!!!! I turned my hand over and she said "damn, you got it"

Then someone pointed out she had a straight and she was shocked.

Great

I know "Book Lady" and she knew she had the str8. If the dealer hadn't identified it, she would have. It's one of her ways of putting her opponents on tilt.

[/ QUOTE ]

She's not that clever.

This might be true sometimes but I doubt here, she actually managed to turn her cards over and muck them face down. Someone then grabbed them out of the muck pile and tabled them.

[/ QUOTE ]

Not at all surprising.

You win this pot bluffing the river approximately never. Also, that board is not great for you and many cards can come off that will make you wish you hadn't played fast on the flop (since SB isn't folding anything except maybe something like 44 on that, a hand that's not a threat to you). I would coldcall the flop and raise the girl on the turn if it came off clean so I could put SB to a two bet decision.

So she's bad and a bitch. Sounds like a fun person...
