Aren't reasons 2-5 in effect "tilt" ?

[/ QUOTE ]

I guess you could put it like that, but i didnt really steam. I wasnt angry at anyone, or just throwing around money, i was just playing hands poorly that i know i could have played better. And i believe the reason for that was because i was losing. Maby it was a different kind of tilt, not the normal steaming tilt.

Uhm... playing hands differently/poorly because of your emotional state is pretty much the definition of tilt. Some people tilt by becoming hyperLAG, some become calling stations, some turn into rocks, but all are forms of tilt.

a lot of what happened in that downswing is certainly what I consider tilt.

Review the hands all you wish, but recognising tilt is going to save you a lot more money.

When you start thinking KJ is a good hand or that you can catch your flush coz all the muppets catch them against you, it is time to say "my name is pokerfool and I am a tiltaholic"

I played one hand so bad today I am having to avoid looking at it, i know it will set me on wild monkey tilt. Maybe one day I can look back on it calmly, but not right now.
