The Potowatomi planning for Shabbona is not that bad of an idea, in the long term. On the extremely small chance that somehow this gets approved, this could be a great idea. The suburban sprawl is out of control. Sugar Grove is expanding like crazy. People are starting to buy places in Dekalb and commute to Naperville. Plus, you get the NIU gambling crowd.

It will take years to get anything approved. By this time, there will be enough people in the far west suburbs to support it. If they can't get approval, then they can make a ton of money selling the land back if they want to go that route.

Very good point RR but it will never happen. Our governor made it clear from day one that he is not a friend of the casinos. The Horseshoe in Hammond will have a new boat soon with a poker room
