Giants

People may be skeptical of footballoutsider's rankings systems, but I find it hard to believe that any casual fans can claim to have more insight than pretty intelligent people who do statistical analysis

I follow FO very closely. And Aaron himself has said that the Skins are the hottest team in the NFC right now, let alone the NFC East. Which is why I said they are clearly the best team right now.

FWIW, I would say the Giants have more potential over the next 3-4 years. Manning will get better, Brunell will probably decline.

Sorry bud. Philly's window is closed. The injuries are just a convenient excuse.

Windows close when a team gets old. The Raiders window closed when Gannon, Brown, Rice etc. all got old. The Rams window closed when Faulk got old and Warner lost his touch (and Vermeil retired).

The Eagles are a young team, and all their star players are signed for many years. They have only one notable free agent this year (Runyan). They are still the most talented team in the division, and their window is wide open.

Not mention the skins lost to the entire AFC West division.

At the start of the year (before T.O. debacle), I thought the Eagles were the best in the division.

In the middle of the season I thought the Cowboys were just as equal to the Redskins and Giants, but after their multiple choke job obviously not.

I will go and have to say the team still in the playoffs is the best team, so my vote is Redskins. For this year at least, who knows come next year.

I live in NoVa. I'm a Jets fan but I watch all the Skins games. I've seen him play. He is pretty good. But definitely no where near the best in the league. He is probably the best player on the Skins Defense. I will give you that.

He is also the best "SPITTER" in the league maybe in all of sports. I would like to seem him and Alomar have a contest.
