I'm confused about ZJs account being closed at Pstars and the wording of what Lee Jones said. Does this mean they took all the money in that account or just some big tourney wins?

I would think they took everything in his account, I wouldn't think he had a ton in there though, but maybe he did. Does he play 5k sngs daily on there?

Nice work Lee. Finally someone gets caught. Do you think for everyone who gets caught another 99 are doing it?

Here, here. The Meower deserves a medal.

[/ QUOTE ]

I, for one, am rather shocked that no one has suggested yet (probably due to fear of the wrath of the moral gestapo) that the Meower deserves nothing more than a piece of cheese.

One can come down in opposition to cheating (as do I), while at the same time coming down in opposition to ratting out 19 year old kids who used some bad judgement. How much of the Meower's motives are derived from his moral compass, vis-a-vis the quantity derived from his jealousy and/or search for stardom on the chatboards?

[/ QUOTE ]

It's amazing the number of losers that basically think that it's worse to uncover a cheater than it is to actually cheat.

[/ QUOTE ]

Even though I have been riveted to this thing since Friday (but not so much that I couldn't play poker though), this is the issue that saddens me the most.

Most remarkable to me is that after getting caught cheating on one site, that he didn't immediately withdraw all the money from other site(s) where he cheated.

[/ QUOTE ]

He may have tried, as a I think just about anyone would have. Stars holds the money for a little while. Then Neteller holds it, and PS can get that back as well. The way ZJ made it sound in his reply, the news broke here less than a day after he knew about it. And that's not to say PP didn't notify PS, or someone else. I think ZJ withdrawing ALL of his funds at once might set off some extra bells and whistles at PS anyway, even if they knew nothing of this.

Coming from a civilian point of view, it is so sad that something so demeaning to the game cannot be made public because of bad publicity. It actually pisses me off to an extent.

This is important, it's not something to sweep under the rug. A lot of things will garner bad publicity, but a lot of things need to be available to the public in order to correct and eliminate cheats, and unlawfulness as best we can. No, making it public won't totally eliminate it, but making it public might urge online gaming sites to strive for security measures above and beyond what they used to be.

I also feel that if someone goes public with this it may make the cheaters feel targeted, and diminish the feeling that used to exist of them flying under the radar.

Let's face it though, it's not going to happen, the publicity would be far to negative...

Hi folks -

We did our own review of ZeeJustin and unfortunately, found that he'd been playing multiple accounts in several tournaments at PokerStars.

* We confiscated the money that he won illicitly.

* We closed his accounts and banned him from PokerStars.

* We are returning the money he won illicitly to players who were harmed by his actions in those same tournaments.

Obviously, we don't like doing this, but the evidence was incontrovertible. We will do whatever it takes to keep our games and tournaments clean.

Best regards,
Lee Jones

This is the kind of response I hoped for and expected ... a good one.

Concise, yet thorough, and not rushed. I was getting worried that Stars wouldn't chime in on this publicly. I'm glad they did.

I can guarantee you that all of the major sites now recognize this issue as one of the most important ones facing them right now.

Nice job, Poker Stars ... and please continue the work you know you need to do.

This back and forth between shaniac and Bluff This! has got to stop. Disagree with each other, fine. But knock off the constant flaming as it does nothing but take the thread into an even worse direction.

[/ QUOTE ]

OK Lloyd, I know you have PM'd me about it as well, and now with shaniac's admission above I'm through with him. And if no one else here cares much that other cheaters known to some posters here are continuing to steal from them day in and day out, then I don't care either since I rarely play tourneys.

I may however without trashing by name, start another separate thread in NVG on those who enable cheaters to continue cheating, as well as the issue of whether cheaters have a network to share ideas.

[/ QUOTE ]

BT!,

Do you need me to spell it out for you too? There is no reason to start any threads I can answer it all right now.

1) Shaniac didn't say he cheated. Your reading comprehension is awful.

2) People do care about cheaters you moran, why do you think this is the hottest thread in 2+2 history.

3)Enable cheaters to continue cheating? Oh, you mean the poker sites. Yes that is a 100% acceptable thread. On a side note, please start a thread about me because I allow wars to keep happening all over the [censored] world by not personally going around taking every means necessary to destroy all of the guns and ammunition.

4) Do the cheaters have a network to share ideas? Again you must be a total moran. OF COURSE! Why this is a news flash to you really surprises me... oh, wait, no it doesn't.

You think Stars can get the money back after it has entered Neteller? Just wondering.
