any time i've ever final table'd, i've always had an average or below average stack for most of the tourney....
speaking of which, in the 11r tonight and got out of the rebuy period with 15k in chips which should have been over 30 but i'm a puss after i triple up and i also had every big pair lose to underpairs think i'm only in for 70 or 80.... bleh.... going to win this to pay off some debt |

Out. Made the money at least.
KT vs A8s - hit a king on the flop, river brings an Ace. I have been dicked too oftn on the river today, i would much prefer to get it on the flop. |

Whats the best donkament book out there? Alsways wanted to get into them as they seem a great way to boast the b/r but i am cack at them. [/ QUOTE ]HoH books are the best, but you can probably skip vol1 if you are any good at full ring. HoH2 is good because it deals with awkward stack sizes, which is where you will spend the majority of your tournament time. One thing the HoH books don't really address is stealing and re-stealing, so you might want to check out the sticky in the MTT forum, as those concepts are essential to solid tournament play. I'm also reading the new full tilt book (it is written by several different named pros SS style and focuses on different aspects of tournament play) and I am apparently the only one in the universe who doesn't care for it (I'm only 4 chapters in, though). For the life of me I can't figure out why Andy Bloch uses the hot and cold strength of hands to determine whether you should play your hand pf. Everyone raves about the Ted Forrest chapter but it didn't seem very revolutionary to me. Lederer's leverage chapter is good information, but it's all well known stuff that you can get reading HoH and NLH:TAP. And his JJ hand vs a PF raise from Phil Ivey where he pushes all in but hates it is LOL. Anyway, I made most of my BR from playing MTTs (the 4/180s on PS are the nuts for micro stake players) so I plan on making a theory post one day on adjusting to tournament play from FR cash. |
