Huge LAGtard was about to put me on tilt. I was playing really badly so I had to leave. Ridiculous. I knew he was bluffing me. I C/Red him on the turn, he tanked, then called. Then he pushed the river, and I called with AJ (ace high). He had AQ. Full of [censored]. He had 3.5 BI at that point. 20 min later he's busto and I don't get the cards to do it to him.

Chomp .... 100NL is NOT softer than 50NL nor is it the same [/ QUOTE ] Huh? I never said it was mate. That wasn't my point at all. I've logged 15 or 20k hands at 100NL so I know very well that's it's notably tougher. My point was there there seems to be a bit of a paradox in the conventional wisdom: on the one hand that staying at 50NL too long is a bad idea, and on the other hand that if you move up to 100 too soon, you most likely are going to get raped. Catch 22. So I was simply saying that I agree with both these paradoxical propositions, and clearly that presents a problem in how to proceed. Sorry if I wasn't clear first time around. |

No offence intended, just a friendly warning from a worried old man.
Well if you are beating 50NL, move up as you please ... if not, then there really is no idea in moving up. Unless you want to do some kind of tetris trick and expose yourself to bigger pressure in the hope of this making it easier on you when you return to 50NL (or in the hopes of growing balls faster). ----------------------------------------------------------- Here is what I found was my issue. 1. Being raised on Action Dans book, I was not really open for people playing wide ranges. I underestimated their ranges. 2. I underestimated the amount of bluffing/floating going on. And finally 3. I called to much ... and failed to a) protect myself b) please shania .. and whatever. 4. I didn't pay attention to board texture ... there is a bigger chance that people are FOS on wet boards. And blah blah blah .... lots of thing and the above is mentioned at random. Shorthanded NL is not a game for nutpedling, play full ring. It really is essential to get a good handreading establish (it is 2am and I am not able to think clearly no more) |

glad you reverted to good old pic Gelford!!!
by the way if it interests any1 : before moving up to 100NL : had a low turn aggro factor @ 50NL after coming back @ 50NL : have a high turn aggro factor results : better winrate with a lower W$SD %... ok nevermind that, i dont have any meat to add... |
