[ QUOTE ] Seems like more Sox fans today at Camden Yards aka Fenway Park south. [/ QUOTE ] I went to Saturday's game, and the ratio was at least 6:1 Sox to Orioles fans throughout the stadium, and my section was closer to 15:1. There was one rowdy O's fan and his friend near me who got kicked out for heckling Youkilis (he clearly had his attention, as Youks turned to face him several times between pitches). When security came down to get the guys, all they had to do was look for the orange shirts in the sea of red and blue. They even booted another O's fan in the row behind right behind them, who wasn't with the hecklers, just laughing at the some of the stuff he was shouting. So basically, the guy was ejected for wearing the home team's colors. Pretty funny. [/ QUOTE ] This seems like such [censored]. He got thrown out of Camden Yards for heckling? If he wasn't cursing/throwing stuff he should be able to say whatever tf he wants. |

This seems like such [censored]. He got thrown out of Camden Yards for heckling? If he wasn't cursing/throwing stuff he should be able to say whatever tf he wants. [/ QUOTE ] Well, at one point when Youkilis turned towards him, the guy put his middle finger up. He got a warning between innings, but kept shouting (not drunk, not cursing, but not exactly clean). One memorable one was when Markakis was stretching on first base after a single, he'd yell "Hey Nick, don't bend over, Youkilis is behind you". It was mainly a matter of all the Red Sox fans shouting to have the guy thrown out every time he said something. Finally, security obliged. I'm not sure what the final straw was because I was up getting food between innings but when I came back, five security guards were going down the aisle right before me and I ended up walking right past the guys as they were being led out. The main heckler seemed more pleased with the attention than anything else. The funniest thing was the other guy in the O's shirt still protesting that he wasn't even with them (which, as far as I could tell, he wasn't) and the security guards yelling at him to shut up and keep moving. |
