I'm stunned by Stern's decision.

Marketing. Let's get the game watched by more Turks that it would be otherwise.

Other than that, Okur is having a great season. He won a bunch of games for the Jazz with his 4th quarter heroics. I suppose Ray Allen got the nod for prior achievements, you know how awards work in the NBA. "You pay your dues", then you get awarded things. Randolph is paying his dues.

Brand obviously got screwed by WCF's sheer number of qualifying forwards. He's more deserving than Tony Parker or Ray Allen or Okur.

I like Okur a lot, but Brand is an absolute beast. This isn't the first time he's gotten jobbed in the all-star game.

If the league was to do a redraft right now for the rest of the year, Brand would easily be top twelve.

As a Jazz fan, I'd prefer that Okur didn't play there. I'd rather see him rested.

[/ QUOTE ]easily? I don't totally disagree with top 12, but "easily" is going a bit far, no?

Kobe, Arenas, Dixon, Lebron, Melo, Wade, Nash, Duncan, KG, Bosh, Howard, Dirk...thats a pretty tough 12 to crack right there. Add Yao in if hes healthy and its 13.

Duncan wouldn't go top 12, KG would be fringe, but Dixon probably goes twice in the top 12.

I think he's better than howard and close with arenas.

Either way, definitely top 15.

Also...Steve Blake >>> Juan Dixon.
