As far as post-flop aggressiveness is concerned, it seems a rating of 2 or higher is recommended. However, isn't this dependent on the limits you're playing? In smaller limits, I believe aggressiveness should be slightly lower. The main reason for this is the effectiveness of semi-bluffing. In order for semi-bluffing to be a correct play, it needs to have a decent chance of everyone else folding. However, for 2/4 at Party, 3 other people are not going to fold to your flop bet when you have a OESD or middle pair with an Ace kicker. So, wouldn't it be better to check these hands and call if you have implied pot odds?

Also, when you bet strong all the way with an overpair or TPTK and it comes to the river, is it worth betting into calling stations again since a lot of the time they'll raise you if you're beaten and fold to that bet if they haven't hit their 3 or 4 outer?

I think bluffing and semi-bluffing play more of a factor as you get to higher limits, especially since many later streets are heads up. However, it seems to maximize BB/100 at 3/6 and lower, post-flop aggro shouldn't be much higher than 2 and preferably slightly under.

Also, what post-flop aggro is too high? >2.5 or >3 or >4 ?? Should there be an optimal range?

Even with TPTK or an overpair, you should value bet into calling stations (unless the river was a very scary card), a lot will call even if they have any part of the flop (i.e. mid or small pair).

For anyone interested in what the distribution of VP$IP and postflop aggression numbers are for the partypoker population, check out the charts at the bottom of this page:

Great thread! I just classified myself and all the people in the Db.

One question:
I auto-import HH (empire)
It automatically assigns an icon to a player with hands >30
I manually export the notes (advanced export)

But when I do that while playing the notes don't show up. I have to restart empire.. Is that normal?

Yes. You can always use the External gametime window to keep track of unknown players.

I don't have a ton of hands, but aggro of over 3 seems to make money, but not near as much. In the 2-3 range I see people up over 1,000 but over 3.0 then up maybe a few hundred. Anyone else care to comment?

Dear sweet jesus do I hate this thread.

I'm trying to cut back on my PM traffic, so:

If you PM me a question about autorating and do not include the phrase "I am the very model of a modern major general", I will not respond. I may not respond anyways. I hate this goddamnmotherfucking thread.
