Honestly there is no rule of how many BI's you need. If you feel comfortable with the swings at the next limit play it. [/ QUOTE ] I think the 20 buyin rule is based on risk of ruin statistics for a certain win/rate and standard deviation. You can always deviate from it like you want, it just changes your risk of ruin (assuming you can't reload). |

I'm just a luckbox who plays bad. I hate running good. The worst $500 I've ever made.

I converted my PT Database to PostGRE or whatever the other day and I have noticed my CPU has been running a bit slower.
So, since I didn't really have a need to convert in the first place, I made my local DB my default. My question: how do I put all of the hands from my PostGRE DB into my local DB or can you only do it the other way around? |

Bleh, took my first serious shot at NL200 and I'm down $1k. Running bad when taking shots sucks. Back to grinding now...

[ QUOTE ] im curently playing nl100 with 9,5k roll, and i made 2 shots so far and lost 7bi in like 1,2k hands ill probably make another shot at the end of the month after i finish my exams [/ QUOTE ] Wawawewa! You can play NL400 buddy. I think 20-25 BI's is fine. If this is your only source of income you may want more than that. Honestly there is no rule of how many BI's you need. If you feel comfortable with the swings at the next limit play it. [/ QUOTE ] If he has no other $$$ in savings accounts (ie. his bankroll is his total net worth) then i think a 100BI strategy is fine. If poker is your only source of income then you should have 6+ months of living expenses saved up, coz u never know what'll happen ninjaaa edit - [ QUOTE ] What's rolled and overrolled for 400nl? [/ QUOTE ] imo 14K = rolled 20K = overrolled actually maybe a little more than 20K, like 22 or something |
