Manuel is doing his best to kill Hamels, Myers and Geary.

I'd also prefer he didn't pointlessly warm Geary when Myers was stupidly coming in anyway. If you try to use a 2 man bullpen, you'll just end up with 2 extra guys on the DL. |

I don't mind Myers coming in tonight. It's a good spot to test if he can go three nights in a row (test passed).
But Hoya is right, why warm up Geary? I was wondering that too. |

[/ QUOTE ] What if we actually need Myers tomorrow? I'm also a little worried about Hamels - 3 straight starts over 110 pitches, and 107 before that. But then again, we only have 4 totally unused guys in the bullpen. |

What if we actually need Myers tomorrow? [/ QUOTE ] Oh well. I think it's important to give Myers these tests, and a four run lead is a good time to test him in case he fails. [ QUOTE ] I'm also a little worried about Hamels - 3 straight starts over 110 pitches, and 107 before that. [/ QUOTE ] That's a solid point, although Hamels is the type of pitcher who should be able to throw lots of innings because he throws so few breaking balls. |

Brutal near miss by Burrell today, but overall a really impressive series
