I like Delonte at the point better than Delonte at the 2, that's for sure.

Rondo >>>>>> Delonte, no one questions this
The main question will be who the other two starters are next to Pierce, Rondo, and Big Al. There's about 7 guys who could conceivably work for those two spots. (Allen, Wally, Green, Gomes, 2007 pick, Perkins, West) |

Rondo >>>>>> Delonte, no one questions this [/ QUOTE ] Only by those of us who value the ability to shoot anything other than a layup, and prefer our PG's to be better than Shaq at free throws. Plus, Delonte has a size advantage that is a big deal. More to being a PG than dribble penetration IMO. |

As a Celtics fan, I like having both of them. Rondo's shot is a serious liability and will limit our lineup options unless/until Green becomes a reliable, consistent threat. Delonte gives us a point guard we can pair with Tony Allen (whenever he comes back). At the same time, it's great to have a guy like Rondo to create plays for other people, something no one else on the team does.
I think, anyway. I haven't seen us much this year. -McGee |

One that could give him a Speedy Claxton type change of pace off the bench type long NBA career. It's IMO very optomistic to think he's an answer at the starting PG slot. |

[/ QUOTE ] Likewise with Delonte, of course. That's why we have Telfair... Both should probably be backups, with Rondo providing more of a spark while Delonte is steady and reliable. -McGee |

His shot won't matter with Pierce, Wally, and Delonte knocking down shots besides him.
Jason Kidd can't shoot either. When he's in the game, good things happen. There's a VERY short list of PGs in the NBA I would trade him for. <3 Rondo for lyfe. |

A PG shooting FTs at 65% is kind of a problem when you're trying to close out a game. |
